1. Usually, a weight loss program includes state of mind, physical activity, diet, and, in some cases, supplements. Adopt a diet that you are comfortable with. Perform exercises on a regular basis. If you hate exercises, try at least a few minutes of walking, running, jogging, swimming, dancing, or any such activity.

2. Be realistic. Sticking to a diet plan requires a lot of will power and perseverence. Don’t lose motivation and give up. An overweight person who has adopted a diet and exercise regime will never be disappointed provided he or she exercises enough self-discipline and sticks to the plan.

3. Learn to understand the language of your body. Everybody has a different rate of metabolism, which shows a variety of responses to changes in diet and lifestyle. Change your exercise and diet program in tune with your body’s response to it. Your exercise plan should suit the needs of your body. For example, not everybody can do heavy exercises. If you can’t bear any other exercise except walking, then walking is the best exercise for you. Aim at developing a few muscles; it will make you look great too.

4. Eat a fiber-rich diet. It prevents you from feeling hungry often, and it stays in the stomach for a longer time, thereby, lowering the rate at which the body digests food. Take one serving of whole grain bread daily. Whole grains convert themselves into blood sugar,which boosts the insulin level in the body. The body becomes energetic and begins to either burn fat or store it.

5. Avoid fried foods; deep-fried foods especially comprise a lot of fat. Fish and chicken comprise more fat than fried beef. Those who are on strict diet can go in for grilled food because this type of food does not have that much of fat after it is cooked.

6. Drink lots of juices and water. At least 6-8 glasses of water everyday is a must. Water keeps the body hydrated and fresh. It also eliminates wastes faster, and keeps the body at a normal weight.

To lose weight rapidly, you need a lot of perseverence, will power, and self-discipline. You will lose a lot of weight if you stick to a comfortable low-calorie diet and exercise place, in addition to certain supplements.

Don’t rush into any heavy diet and exercise plan that will make you give up almost before you have begun. If you do this, you could end up gaining more weight than what you were before you began the program.

A busy work schedule with little free time is bound to lead to weight gain. Add to this the increased food intake that goes with stress and you have a situation of poor physical health and low sense of well being. Consider a rapid weight loss diet for restoring and maintaining your health while you are on the go. A well implemented diet and exercise plan will help you to get back in shape without losing your hair, literally.

Start small

This may sound obvious but consider the method to follow when you do this. Let us say you want to lose ten kilograms. Your body’s metabolism changes with age and lifestyle. So, rather than deciding to lose ten kilos in three months, plan to lose one kilo in two weeks. Now, what is the one habit that can lead you there? Can you curtail two spoons of sugar from your daily diet? Instead of a cup of coffee introduce a small serving of sautéed vegetables with a sprinkle of spice. Now, two spoons of sugar reduced from your daily meal will lead to rapid weight loss in two weeks.

Start early

Start waking up five minutes earlier than normal. Stretch languorously as soon as you have woken up. Lie in bed and savour the moment. Now, think about what you are going to do once you are up. Psyche yourself into an early morning stretch session. Every joint in your body should be given the benefit of the stretching exercise. This will take about twenty minutes. Follow this up with a breakfast of carbohydrates and proteins for a good way to rapid weight loss. Keep small portions of dry fruits and toasted bread to eat in the course of the day to keep those mid-meal hunger pangs under control.

Smart partying

Nobody wants to wilt away in a corner because of a rapid weight loss diet. If you are going for a late night party, tell yourself you will not consume anything after eight in the evening. Dance all you like and avoid any form of fries. If you plan to drink a little, line your stomach with a slice of cheese to avoid uncontrolled consumption. Stick to salads and soup with bread sticks if you must eat.

Working Late Hours

As a part of your career ambitions, late working hours will be the norm. This can put paid to your rapid weight loss plans. If you are working late, let your last meal be at seven in the evening. Follow this up with doses of warm water or green tea without sugar. A safe bet is a grilled sandwich without cheese or butter and a limited amount of mustard or any other sauce that you choose. If you have access to fresh fruits, have them within the time limit. If you are working very late into the night, keep a stock of protein biscuits, arrowroot or Marie to consume if you feel hungry in the late hours of the night.
